How ★ questions work
In the JLPT grammar section, a sentence has four blanks and one is marked ★. You get four chunks and choose the one that belongs on ★.
- Read the words around the blanks first — they fix what can go where.
- Put all four chunks in order, not just the ★ one.
- Then read off which chunk landed on ★.
