Expresses that something has been decided (not by the speaker).
Formation
[Verb dictionary form/ない-form] + ことになる
Examples
来月から大阪で働くことになりました。
Raigetsu kara Oosaka de hataraku koto ni narimashita.
It has been decided that I will work in Osaka from next month.
パーティーは中止することになった。
Paatii wa chuushi suru koto ni natta.
It was decided that the party would be cancelled.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
