Explanation

Expresses hope or wish.

Formation

[Verb/い-adj/な-adj + だ/Noun + だ] + といい(です/ですね)

Examples

明日晴れるといいですね。

Ashita hareru to ii desu ne.

I hope it will be sunny tomorrow.

試験に合格するといいな。

Shiken ni goukaku suru to ii na.
