Explanation

Indicates gradual change in proportion to something.

[Verb dictionary form] + につれて / [Noun] + につれて

日が暮れるにつれて、寒くなった。

Hi ga kureru ni tsurete, samuku natta.

As the sun set, it got colder.

時間が経つにつれて、慣れてきた。

Jikan ga tatsu ni tsurete, narete kita.

As time passed, I got used to it.

Similar to に伴って but emphasizes gradual change.
