Examples
驚いたことに、彼は1位になった。
Odoroita koto ni, kare wa ichiі ni natta.
To my surprise, he became first place.
残念なことに、試合は中止になった。
Zannen na koto ni, shiai wa chuushi ni natta.
Unfortunately (to my regret), the match was cancelled.
