Explanation

Very formal and literary way to express purpose.

[Verb ない form without ない] + んがため(に)

成功せんがために、全力を尽くした。

Seikou sen ga tame ni, zenryoku wo tsukushita.

In order to succeed, I gave my all.

国を守らんがために戦った。

Kuni wo mamowan ga tame ni tatakatta.

They fought in order to protect the country.

Classical form, mainly literary.
