Very formal. Two purposes, one being greeting/appreciation.

[Noun] + かたがた

お礼かたがた、ご挨拶に伺いました。

Orei katagata, go-aisatsu ni ukagaimashita.

I came to visit both to thank you and to greet you.

Very formal, limited usage. Often with お礼, ご挨拶, etc.

～ならいざ知らず

~ might be one thing, but; leaving ~ aside

～てやまない

earnestly wish/hope, never stop ~ing

～をものともせずに

not being daunted by ~, in spite of ~

～んがため(に)

in order to ~, for the purpose of ~ (formal/literary)
